Rock Hill’s Main Street Children’s Museum

Proud to Be a Donor

Throughout its history the Rock Hill Coca-Cola Bottling Company has been an active and engaged member of the community. In addition to providing a steady flow of delicious Coca-Cola products to the citizens of York County over the years, it has also supported and donated to many organizations and causes. One such organization has been the Main Street Children’s Museum in Rock Hill. The Rock Hill Coca-Cola Bottling Company was proud to be a donor to this delightful addition to downtown Rock Hill.

A Place to Play

When the Main Street Children’s Museum opened in 2010, families had a place to take their young children to join in some fun and educational playtime. Its location in the heart of the downtown area at 133 E Main Street has made it ideally situated.

The museum is designed specifically for children from birth to six years old, a time when creative play is fundamental for healthy development. With multiple areas built around a theme, the museum offers kids the chance to play Peter Pumpkin Eater or Cinderella in a pumpkin house, to sail to amazing pretend adventures aboard a magic ship, or to climb above it all in a special tree house.

Inspired by Vernon Grant

The look and feel of the museum is directly inspired by American illustrator Vernon Grant, who made his home in Rock Hill. Most notably, Grant created the iconic Rice Krispies trio of Snap, Crackle, and Pop. Grant’s whimsical scenes and characters are brought to life in the museum’s play areas.

Wee Wednesday

In addition to being open for free play time every day except Monday, the Main Street Children’s Museum also gives the littlest kids a chance to shine every Wednesday during Wee Wednesday. During this structured play time, children three years and younger can listen to stories, explore movement with music, and build a seasonal craft.

Birthday Parties

The Main Street Children’s Museum is also a great place to celebrate birthdays. Party planners can pre-book gatherings of fifteen or more. With all of the fun packed into the museum, that’ll be a party that the birthday boys and girls won’t soon forget.

Making a Difference

The Rock Hill Coca-Cola Bottling Company loves to see the community of Rock Hill continue to grow and develop, taking great pride in being able to make a difference in the lives of the families to live, work, and play in York County.
