Christmas Events around Rock Hill 2023

The first couple of weeks in December 2023 are absolutely chock full of holiday activities for the residents of Rock Hill and the surrounding communities. Check out some of the highlights.

Founders Ice Skating Rink

You might already have visited the Founders Ice Skating Rink, which opened earlier in November. You can glide on the ice here until January 15th, so you’ve still got plenty of time. 

Christmasville’s Opening Ceremony and Santa’s Arrival

Ok, technically this one happens in November, but we’re counting it anyway. On November 30th, you find music and dancing…and Santa! Starts at 5:30 at Fountain Park in Rock Hill.

Fort Mill Christmas Village & The Lighting of the Tree

Another late November event, the Fort Mill Christmas Village & The Lighting of the Tree will offer music and dance from 5-8 p.m. on November 30th. Other festive activities will also be available.

Rock Hill Christmas Parade

Rock Hill’s annual Christmas Parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. on December 1st. Get there a little early to stake out the best viewing spot along the route.

Fort Mill Christmas Parade

If you miss the Rock Hill parade or just can’t get enough of Christmas-themed floats, Fort Mill’s Christmas Parade will begin at 11 a.m. on December 2nd.

Christmas on the Farm

King’s Mountain State Park will host Christmas on the Farm from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on December 2nd. Santa will be putting in his appearance here alongside the vendors, hot chocolate, and more.

Happy Holiday Travels

On December 2nd from 11 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. (three different sessions), you can travel the Christmas world without ever leaving Rock Hill. The Main Street Children’s Museum will celebrate holiday traditions from around the world.

Clover Christmas Parade

The Clover Christmas Parade activities will begin at 12 p.m. on December 3rd, with the parade to follow a bit later.

Kickoff to Christmas Tree Lighting

The roads in York will close at 5 p.m. on December 7th to prepare for the festivities starting at 6. More music, dance, food trucks…and Santa! That guy’s everywhere!

Hometown Christmas Parade

The party continues in York at 5 p.m. on December 8th with the Hometown Christmas Parade.

Christmas Candlelight Tours

Go back in time at Historic Brattonsville’s Christmas Candlelight Tours. Tickets are available to the public for tours on December 9th and 10th.

The Nutcracker

What Christmas season would be complete without a performance of The Nutcracker? Ballet of York County will be performing the beloved ballet from December 14th through the 17th at Winthrop University’s Johnson Hall Theatre.
