Come See Me Festival 2017

Of all the wonderful events in the Rock Hill community that the Rock Hill Coca-Cola Bottling Company sponsors, the Come See Me Festival is one of the best. Now in its 55th year, the Come See Me Festival brings delight and fun for ten days! With events ranging from tea parties to beach bashes, Broadway to BBQ, Rock Hill’s Come See Me Festival has it all. Take a look at some of the highlights for this year’s festival.

Kick Off Parade

April 20, 6:30 p.m.

The Kick Off Parade for the 2017 Come See Me Festival will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Oakland Avenue and will end at Fountain Park. Join Glen and Glenda and the gang to start things off right!

Chalk on Main

April 21, 4:30-7:00 p.m.

Chalk artists of any age are encouraged to grab a handful of color and spread some creativity on East Main Street. The brighter the better!

Beach Bash

April 21, 5:30-10:00 p.m.

After you’ve spread a little chalk sunshine on Main Street, head over to City Hall Plaza for the Beach Bash. Summer comes early when the 12 piece party band The Extraordinaires take the stage.

Gourmet Gardens

April 22, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Plan to spend the better part of the day at Cherry Park for the Gourmet Gardens. The place will be packed with local food vendors serving up all their best. Kids will enjoy music and games in the children’s area. You can also shop the Spring Market, where local artisans will show off their artistic creations.

Cornhole Throwdown

April 22, 1 p.m.

Teams will compete for cash and prizes in the 5th Annual Come See Me Cornhole Throwdown. This round robin tournament will take place at the corner of East Black St. and Elizabeth Ave., by Fountain Park.

Sundaes with Glen and Mother Goose

April 23, 2-5 p.m.

Join Glen and Mother Goose for an afternoon of ice cream sundaes in Glencairn Garden. This event will be loads of yummy fun for the kids!

Lunchtime and Evening Enterainment at Glencairn Garden

April 24-27, 12 & 6 p.m.

Throughout the week, at lunchtime and in the evening, a wide array of performers will entertain folks in Glencairn Garden. With two opportunities each day, you’ll certainly find something you’ll love.

Teddy Bear Tea Party

April 25, 3:30 p.m.

Children ages 3-6 are invited to attend the Teddy Bear Tea Party on the Campus Green at Winthrop University. Donate a new or gently used toy for local charities. Oh, teddy bears are invited, too.

Broadway Night

April 27, 6:30-8 p.m.

At Broadway Night, a free concert at Elevation Church on Celriver Rd., community stars will perform selections from your favorite Broadway shows.

Moonlight Jazz and Blues

April 28, 6 p.m.

Gather around Winthrop Lake for an evening of music with The Jason Poore Trio, an eclectic mix of rock, jazz, blues, and country, and Daniel D, electric violinist.

Barbeque Cook-Off

April 29, 10 a.m.

The festivities wind down at the 10th Annual Barbeque Cook-Off, held at Winthrop Lake. Who makes the best BBQ in the Rock Hill area?
