Ingredients
- 4 cups orange juice
- 4 cups cranberry juice
- 4 cups pineapple juice
- 2 liters Sprite
- orange (or clementine) slices, for garnish
- fresh cranberries, for garnish
Directions
Refrigerate
Refrigerate all ingredients for a few hours before combining. Cold ingredients don’t need to be watered down with ice. Try freezing the fresh cranberries for an hour or two beforehand. They’ll act like ice in the glasses without diluting the punch.
Combine Juices
In a large punch bowl or large pitcher, combine the fruit juices. Stir gently to combine the juices. This step can be done ahead of time. Just remember to chill the mixture until you’re ready to serve.
Prepare Glasses
As the juices and Sprite are chilling, prepare the glasses. Toss 3-5 fresh, washed cranberries in the bottom of each glass. Next, add a slice of orange to the rim of the glass. If you use smaller tumblers for your punch, consider slicing up a clementine or tangerine instead. You’ll still get the visual appeal of the citrus, but the slice might be more manageably sized.
Add Sprite
When you are ready to serve, add the 2 liters of Sprite. Be sure to pour slowly and steadily to avoid a lot of over-fizzing. You want the punch to keep the bright sparkle of the Sprite’s carbonation. If you pour too quickly, the punch will go flat before everyone gets some. Very gently mix the liquids.
Serve
Now you’re ready to serve. Again, proceed gently to maintain some of the Sprite’s fizz. Fill each glass enough that the cranberries still have some room to float around.
If, at the end of the evening’s festivities, you have any leftover punch, refrigerate it.
