Strawberry Saturdays
Continuing the berry good time started back in April, Strawberry Saturdays at Bush-N-Vine will continue each weekend through May. Saturdays will be filled with opportunities to pick your own berries, enjoy some music, learn a bit about honey, let the kids bounce in inflatables, and relax to some jazz. Activities run 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Happy Valley Church of the Redeemed
NarroWay Theatre will present another performance of this delightful mystery dinner show on May 3rd at 2:30 p.m. The audience will enjoy playing along with the funny mystery show while they eat.
Interstellar Overdrive—A Saucerful of Pink Floyd
If strawberry picking and dinner theater are a little too down to earth for you, head over to York’s Sylvia Theatre for Interstellar Overdrive—A Saucerful of Pink Floyd. The out-of-this-world show begins at 9 p.m.
Sheep Shearing
Historic Brattonsville will host a sheep shearing event on May 11th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees will learn a little bit about the historical traditions of the yearly sheep shearing. Learn about the importance of wool to the early settlers of the region. There will also be food and more fun.
Shop Small Saturday in Old Town
On the second Saturday of each month, take time to Shop Small. On May 11th from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. support the local shops in Old Town Rock Hill. They are part of what makes the community of Rock Hill such a great place to live.
Glencairn Bloomfest
All those April showers will pay off in May flowers. On May 18th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Glencairn Garden will be bursting with blooms. It will also be full of kids’ activities and vendors. Enjoy the flowers as you stroll through the booths checking out garden-themed items and other interesting fare.
Yap Ye Iswa Festival
On May 18th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Catawba Cultural Center will host the Yap Ye Iswa Festival. Learn about the art, history, and culture of the Catawba Indian Nation at this “Day of the Catawba” festival.
